Product Description Compact (pocket sized), dual-output LED flashlight for backpacking, camping, and general use. Uses a virtually indestructible, power-regulated light emitting diode (LED) light source plus a two-stage tailcap switch for instant selection of desired output levelextremely long-runtime low beam for close-up work or a long-runtime high beam with over three times the light of a big two-D-cell flashlight. Small size, extended runtime, high output, and 10-year battery shelf life make it perfect for emergency/disaster preparedness kits, the outdoors, or everyday carry.

| Customer Reviews:
Typical Surefire May 27, 2008 Watchcollector1968 (Oklahoma) I have had my L1 for a month or so now. I am fairly familiar with their lights as I do have a few and find them to be excellent. The HA finish is very durable so the light should look like new for quite some time. There are 2 brightness levels, 10 lumen which should run around 10 hours or so and 65 lumens for about 1.5 hours. The reflector, called TIR by Surefire is designed to throw the beam for quite a distance. The hot spot is pretty well focused but still has enough spill to be useful for larger areas. The tight hotspot give the appearence that the light is brighter than 65 lumes and is definately enough to disorient somebody who gets flashed with it unexpectedly. Durable, very water resistant and unsurpassed fit and finish along with incredible brightness definately make the pricey light worth the investment.
Excellent Light April 17, 2008 Carl Friesen (San Francisco, CA) Surprisingly bright, compact and lightweight enough to carry in a pocket, rugged enough for rough duty. Pricey, but well worth it.
One of the best flashlights ever! December 11, 2007 4EN[sic] (503) Love this light. It is compact, well built and just as bright as I need it, when I need it. I use the dim setting mostly so even though it takes only one battery it should last me awhile.
