I have a SureFire 6p and I've upgraded to the P61 bulb for over a year now, I sometimes turn it on to look for things in the dark, and the flashlight stays on for about several minutes. The bulb is still running strong on the same batteries that came with my SureFire on the P61 bulb, which is supposed to only last 20 minutes. Awsome!!!

Afraid of a pistol or pepper spray for self defense. The out put of a sure-fire falshlight with the P61 bulb is incredibly bright. My wife asked for one to use in her car...after she finished yelling at me for blinding her.
The lithium batteries with their 10 yr shelf-life mean that it will be ready when you are. For regular use however, stick to the stock P60 lamp. 20 min is too short a battery life for regular use.
