| Customer Reviews:
Noisy, limited mounts, tedious December 7, 2008 Valyooman (Houston, TX USA) I got two of these for mounting two L2D flashlights to my commuter (road) bike. The mount is symmetrical so ideally you should mount it on a tube about the diameter of an L2D. Unfortunately, the handlebars on my road bike are too large for it. The mounts barely managed to go on when I first got them, but later I re-taped my handlebars and now the mounts no longer fit. Other possible mounting places, like the top tube are also too large to accommodate this mount. They do fit easily on my mountain bike handlebars though. They also hold the L2D very securely. I install and remove my lights every ride I need them (one or two per day in winter), and the end caps are very tedious to loosen and retighten. Finally, the mounts rattle, rattle, rattle quite loudly when riding along normal pavement, even if empty. I eventually got to the stage where I would place my fingers on them just to suppress the rattle.
Flashlight mount OK December 1, 2008 hotpepper (Milpitas, CA United States) Overall, this flashlight bike mount works OK on regular sized bars. It does NOT fit oversized handlebars in the center section. I wanted to use it on my oversized bars, but the center section of the bars is too fat for the mount, so I attached it to the drop section. The other thing to watch out for is if you do not tighten the screws very well, the mount can shake itself loose and possibly drop your flashlight. In summary - The good: - Allows you to attach LED flashlights to your handlebars - The mount rotates, which allows you to aim the flashlight in various directions or attach the mount to different parts of your handlebars The bad: - Does not fit oversized handlebars - The mount can shake itself loose if you don't tighten the screws really tight - It rattles a little bit when you ride (though you can mostly eliminate the rattling noise if you wrap a rubber band or two around it
