The best flashlight! December 29, 2008 Jim T. Ly This is my first Maglite product and won't be my last. Forget about all the other cheap/imitation brands. In my opinion, nothing beats Maglite in terms of quality construction, beam intensity, and reserve power! This 2 D cell LED serve its purpose as a general flashlight. I noticed that the Maglight 3-AA series produce an equal if not brighter beam...
Great flashlight December 22, 2008 J. D. Swinehart (Mobile, AL) Wish I had a Maglight long time ago. Heavy, but the light is excellent. Use for before dawn or late night walks with my dog so I don't step in other dog's droppings (hate it that some are not respectful of others by cleaning up after their pets). Price was great, light is great. Much better than my old, regular flashlights.
What can I say, it's a Maglite December 16, 2008 Irish Zim (Miami, FL) 3W led is BRIGHT. I can spot fish in the water below my 7th floor balcony.
Still strong after all these years November 21, 2008 C. G. King (Horse Country, VA USA) Since most flashlights give out fairly quickly, I'm astonished that these things last what seems like forever. I've had one for years and have never had to change the bulb (an extra one stores inside just in case) or even the batteries. I don't use it frequently, but that's the problem with regular flashlights, because when I do want one, it always seemed to be out of juice. Rats. I switched to Maglites and would never go back. I don't know how they do it, but they are great--and they don't leak. I've had ordinary flashlights do that while standing head down on a wood surface--which is of course, ruined as a result. I just threw all my ordinary flashlights away and switched to Maglites and have been entirely satisfied.
What can I say, it's a Maglite! September 29, 2008 Charlie (Gettysburg, PA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What can I say, it's a Maglite! We purchased 3 led flashlights from other manufactures with 3 or 4 led technology (thinking more must be better) and they all cost significantly less than the Maglite. We walk a lot an night on our country roads and we wanted to make sure we could see and be seen. They were all so dim, we replaced the batteries, thinking that had to be the problem. We finally broke down and bought the first Maglite. The Maglite is brighter and easier to use than any of the others. This is yet another example of why trying to save money by buying a cheaper product can cost you more in the long run. Remember, it doesn't necessarily matter how many led's are in the flashlight, different led's do not project the same amount of light. The Maglite is a 3 watt winner! We bought 4 so we have one in easy reach almost anywhere in the house. We just ordered 4 led mini Maglites to go in our cars and for our kids to put in their cars.
